“Let’s see what we can do to make reading an enjoyable activity!”
Read. Many people feel that this is a very boring activity, makes you sleepy quickly, and is not as exciting as playing video games or watching movies. According to data from UNESCO, Indonesia is in the second lowest position in terms of reading books with a percentage of 0.0001%, which means that there is only one person who diligently reads books out of 1000 people. This number is certainly very tragic.
Books are a window to the world. Not only that, nowadays there are various reading materials that can also be accessed more easily using the internet. If Indonesian people don't like reading, of course this will set back their productivity and make them a nation that easily believes various things without researching the truth first, especially through reading.
As a form of the Self Access Center (SAC)'s efforts to help increase the reading interest of the Indonesian people, SAC collaborates with Diana Fitri, M.M., C.PS., CNNLP or who is popularly called Miss Dipi as a resource person where he is an ambassador for Periplus Bandung who also collaborates with Periplus Indonesia. For more than 10 years he has been writing and reviewing books on his personal blog www.dipidiff.com. With his passion for reading, it is hoped that he can share and motivate that this activity is very fun and gives encouragement to the younger generation to increase their interest in reading.
